PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT: Communications

Communication Skills - Each time we interact, we do one of three things:  build the relationship, maintain the relationship, or tear it down.  This workshop challenges participants to consider the effects of their communication style and understand the power of verbal, vocal and visual messages.  It raises awareness of strengths and weaknesses of each style in order to develop methods of improvement.

Gender Communication - Men and women are challenged today to partner on the home front and in the workplace. Research proves that, although we are on the same team, we play by different communication rules.  The Society of Human Resources suggests that gender differences may be the #1 cause of problems in our workplace today. Participants will broaden their awareness of communication differences between males and females and begin to understand the enculturation process that creates such differences. They will also develop an appreciation for the unique contributions that each style brings to the communication process and practice the skills to make for better understanding on both sides of the "gender gap."
